Emma Elizabeth Maseda joined our family on March 23rd, weighing in at 7lbs. 6oz. and measuring a grand 21 inches long; we are sooooooooo excited that Heavenly Father blessed us with her special spirit!!!!!

At Long Last

Tonight at 8:19 p.m. Emma Elizabeth Maseda was born. At long last, another sweet princess joined our family.

The Children's New Obsession

These days Braden and Brooke carry their Book of "Mornings" (as they like to call them) everywhere! When you ask them what they are doing, they look at you and say, "I'm reading about Jesus." Braden also loves to take his Book of Mormon or "scriptures" to Sunbeams every Sunday. I love their sweet innocent spirits! :)

Getting Ready

I decided this time to be better prepared and fix several freezer meals to have on hand when Emma makes her grand appearance. As you can tell from the pictures, I had my hands full with two little helpers. I knew the only way it was going to get accomplished was to include them in the action; they want to be wherever Mommy is these days, but I could think of worse problems!

My baby shower

Today a couple women from church had a joint baby shower for Leslie (the RS president) and I. It was soooooooo much fun! I am even more excited about little Emma coming now. When I got home with all of the goods, Braden had to take everything out and touch it; he kept saying, "This is for Emma, this is for Emma." Brooke on the other hand acted as if she didn't notice the gift bags; I think Braden is a little more excited about Emma's arrival.

She's 2 now and she lets the whole world know it!

Brooke has turned 2, and she has the attitude to prove it! Just today she poured water on my scripture bag, wrote with highlighter on my portable desk, confessed to hitting her brother, and demanded she get her way. Luckily, she also is still part sweetheart. I love it when she wakes up in the morning, wraps her little arms around my neck, and declares, "My mommy!" So when I want to wrap my hands around her little neck, I refrain, breathe, and remember that she is still that little sweetheart, and that the 2 year old beast will one day be a thing of the past. Luckily, she is also absolutely adorable, and I can't help but love her!
