Maseda Family Awards Night 2011 "Hollywood"

Well, we had our 3rd Annual Maseda Family Awards Night last night, and the theme we all voted on this year was, drum roll please,

Hollywood! 

We ate finger foods served on silver trays, drank delicious punch, got decked out in our best (kids each picked their own attire), walked the red carpet, gave out our awards, had a couple performances courtesy of the cutie patooties, and then danced the night away!  I think it is a night the cuties will never forget!  In fact, as we were getting everything prepared, Brooke said, "Mama, I love this; I am going to do this for my kids when I am a mom."

Arts Festival 2011

Every year at Brooke and Braden's school, they have an arts festival; the kids dress up and perform, and you have the oppotunity to purchase your child's art work. Here is Brooke performing to Superman.

Our Sweet Ladybug

Do you see this sweet ladybug?

This sweet little ladybug performed in her first PTO performance at school.  Initially this cutie didn't have a speaking part, which made me wonder if she had let her teachers know how much she loves to perform or how she has no qualms about being in front of an audience.  I think she,  unlike her mother, is good at controlling her talking in class, a skill I never quite achieved as a child.  However, one of the children who did have a part was a no show, so as they walked down the hall to the auditorium to perform, they asked if she would be willing to fill in at the last minute.  Brooke of course said yes, and I think she did a great job (this from a very biased mama)!
