Christmas

Today was a fun day, though I began to wonder if Braden and Brooke were ever going to get up. It took all the self control I had not to wake them up myself. Rich said to enjoy it while I can; next year the two of them will probably be dragging us out of bed. We got them a wagon this year along with some other goodies; they loved the wagon! Brooke's favorite gift was her cell phone, which I made the mistake of putting at the top of her stocking; it took a lot of convincing on Rich's part to get her to open anything else, because she was too busy talking to Jesus on the telephone. Braden loved his Viewmaster and his Superman water bottle. They also got spoiled rotten by our families, which they loved! It was just a nice day at home complete with a ham dinner that night. :)

December 13, 2006

My children find a new way to entertain me on a daily basis. Today Brooke and Braden decided that they had to wear sunglasses everywhere they went, even to church tonight. Of course, everyone oooohed and aaaahed over how adorable they were. I sure love my two cuties!

December 2, 2006

Today we went to go visit Spencer's grave, our sweet stillborn son; on the 8th of this month would have marked his 5th birthday. Every year we like to acknowledge his life by pulling out the pictures we took at the hospital, look at his ultrasound, or just talk about our memories of that period of time; this year we decided we should take Braden and Brooke to visit the gravesite and tell them about their big brother. You could tell they don't really grasp all of it yet, but one day they will. Braden and Brooke both got to help clean off his grave marker, and we talked about who was buried there. It was a nice way to honor Spencer's memory.
